José Manuel Entrecanales, chairman and CEO of ACCIONA, is the “most highly rated CEO in Spain,” according to the Brand Guardianship Index 2024, a report by Brand Finance based on surveys of journalists, financial analysts and informed members of the public, which ranks the world's most successful CEOs according to their role as brand guardians when shaping their success and values.
Entrecanales earned the highest score among Spanish CEOs (63.9 points) in this year's edition of the index. “His vast experience in the role, his long-term strategic vision and his ability to inspire positive change in the group he leads” are some of the highest-rated attributes listed in the study.
The index identifies a strong correlation between excellent brand leadership and strong brand value growth in its ranking of top CEOs, highlighting their achievements “in technology adoption, sustainability efforts, commercial leadership and long-term strategic vision.”
