  • With 306MW of power, it will generate enough clean energy to supply nearly 580,000 homes in the state of Tamaulipas

ACCIONA Industrial will be building the 306MW Mesa la Paz wind farm for the EnerAB consortium (The AES Corporation and Grupo BAL) in the town of Llera de Canales, in northeastern Tamaulipas, near the Gulf of Mexico. The wind farm will supply clean, sustainable energy to nearly 580,000 homes.

ACCIONA will be in charge of the BOP (Balance of Plant); that is, the auxiliary systems required for proper operation of the plant, including primarily civil engineering, medium-voltage grid installation and electrical wiring. Vestas will supply the turbines.

ACCIONA is a renewable energy leader in Mexico, developing projects on its own and for third parties. The company covers the entire renewable energy value chain: development and design, engineering, construction, installation and maintenance, as well as commercialising the energy.

In Infrastructure, ACCIONA has taken part in the development of emblematic works such as the Jala-Puerto Vallarta highway, the first General Hospital for the Mexican Social Security Institute in Nogales, and others.

Mexico is one of ACCIONA’s platform countries, where the company has been operating since 1978 and where its main lines of business are firmly established.
