ACCIONA ranks as the world’s most sustainable electric utility in the latest annual review of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), one of S&P Global’s most demanding and highly regarded indices. The company also leads the electricity sector in Europe (DJSI Europe).

ACCIONA scored 86 out of 100 points. In last year’s edition of the DJSI World, ACCIONA ranked fifth.

S&P Global analysts highlighted ACCIONA’s performance in the environmental aspect, particularly due to its climate strategy and water management. They also praised its progress in governance, citing the company’s innovative use of the "double materiality analysis," which evaluates the company’s impact on both society and the environment, as well as the potential financial implications of its activities. Additionally, the ACCIONA was commended for its advanced supplier management system and its strong customer relationships.

Following this year’s review, effective as of today, the DJSI World includes 321 companies, selected from more than 3,500 analyzed firms.
