ACCIONA Living & Culture will once again design and execute the audiovisual show titled Al rescate de la Navidad, la nueva historia de Navigalia (To the rescue of Christmas, the new Navigalia story), which can be enjoyed between December 20th and January 4th in six daily showings (at 18:45, 19:30, 20:15, 21:00, 21:45 and 22:15), except on December 24th, 25th and 31st , as well as January 1st.
After the success of the previous edition, which attracted more than 250,000 spectators, this year the artistic and visual proposal is renewed to once again surprise Sevillians and tourists with an innovative show that will combine music, projections, special effects and lighting.
ACCIONA Living & Culture will use larger projectors, more powerful lighting, new special effects and flamethrowers, and will also develop a new storyline, also based on Christmas icons and traditional elements.
To the rescue of Christmas, the new Navigalia story will last approximately 12 minutes and will star Fernandus, the protective spirit of Seville, and Curro, a Sevillian teenager who will go on an emotional journey to rediscover the true meaning of Christmas.
This year, Navigalia will require pre-booked tickets (at Navigalia 2024 — Instituto de la Cultura y las Artes de Sevilla) for the token price of one euro, available from today, to control the capacity of 2,000 people per showing and ensure optimal viewing of the projections. Moreover, as a novelty, this year all the audience will be seated in stands located in the Salt Docks, specifically between the Triana Bridge and the area around Chillida’s Monument to Tolerance.
In the last edition, also produced by ACCIONA, Navigalia won national and international awards: it was named the Best Public Event by EVENTEXCO, the Best Cultural/Entertainment Event and the Best Technical Set-up according to EVENTOPLUS magazine, the Best Cultural Event in 2024 at the Spanish Event Company Association (AEVEA) awards and the FIP FESTIVAL Gold winner for the Best Municipal or Governmental Event.
