  • This weekend, ACCIONA will participate in the 'Earth Hour' initiative, created by WWF, that has grown into a global campaign by citizens, organizations, governments and companies in favour of the environment and a symbol of the fight against climate change.

The company will participate on Saturday, 25 March, from 20:30 to 21:30, by turning off the luminous signs on its main buildings in Spain: Alcobendas (Madrid, Avenida de Europa 10, 18 and 20, and Calle Anabel Segura, 11), Sarriguren (Navarra) and Erandio (Bilbao), as a symbol of global action in support of the environment. Through its intranet, ACCIONA has also made an appeal to all its employees to join this cause and to share it in their social networks.

This symbolic action seeks to raise awareness about the need to adopt measures against climate change and polluting emissions, and also to save energy and reduce light pollution. In 2016, the company avoided 14.8 million tons of CO2 emissions and published a number of articles related to energy saving and efficiency.

Join #EarthHour to help fight climate change.
