ACCIONA announced today the launch of its Disability Office, a center for comprehensive assistance and individualized monitoring that serves people with disabilities already working or newly hired at ACCIONA, as well as managers or colleagues who have any questions or requirements related to this type of employees.

The new Disability Office, a pioneering initiative in Spain’s corporate sphere, concentrates the knowledge acquired by the company over more than three decades of active work in the integration of people with disabilities, so that this know-how is accessible to all areas of the company and the countries in which it operates.

The Office will identify, standardize and promote best practices and optimize processes that favor the recruitment of talent among people with diverse abilities.

The new Disability Office will also organize workshops, events and awareness campaigns to draw attention to this group’s challenges and rights, fostering a culture of respect and understanding.

Talent recruitment will be another one of its actions, with the aim of making ACCIONA a role model in the employment of people with disabilities.

ACCIONA seeks to provide support and resources to employees with disabilities, promoting their professional development and well-being at work, while making the employee experience inclusive and accessible.

People with disabilities currently make up 4% of ACCIONA's workforce, exceeding the current legal requirement, and the company has recently won awards for its workplace integration from entities such as the Red Cross, the Randstad Foundation, the Bequal Foundation and the Integra Foundation.

The Disability Office arises from ACCIONA's commitment to creating inclusive work environments, as it specifically seeks to increase diversity in its workforce, encouraging the presence of people with diverse abilities at all levels and in all areas of the company's activity.

The Disability Office is a step further in this commitment, as part of the company's People strategy, which places workers at the center of corporate decisions, promoting talent development and a positive impact on both employees and society as a whole.
