ACCIONA is once again sponsoring the ENERMAR Technical Conference being staged by the Spanish Association of Naval and Ocean Engineers (AINE), which will run from 26 to 28 June at the Paraninfo del Rectorado auditorium of the University of A Coruña.

The conference will feature various technical panels and round tables to address key aspects such as the logistical challenges of offshore wind, the design criteria for floating wind turbines, and Spanish technologies used within the industry. The event will also include tours of marine and offshore renewable facilities, including the Port of Langosteira, where ACCIONA has requested land under a concession on which it plans to build a plant capable of producing all sorts of components for offshore wind power structures.

On 27 June, Miguel Cordón, ACCIONA’s Offshore Business Development Manager, will be taking part in a round table titled “Port facilities at the service of offshore wind power”, to present the construction capabilities and the fixed and floating foundation solutions for offshore wind turbines developed by the company (known as ARGO, CT-bos and S-bos), all focused on mass production.

These solutions allow the company to bring its experience to bear in construction processes, thus significantly increasing local availability in and around the areas where the solutions are deployed and substantially improving supply chains, ultimately leading to a notable reduction in the carbon footprint during construction processes.

If you would like to attend the conference or learn more about it, you can find the official website of the event here.
