3 out of 10 people still lack a reliable drinking water service. The challenges arising from the climate emergency hinder access to water, thus we have to act swiftly to find water treatment solutions that ensure the sustainable and safe supply of quality water for human consumption.

From the outset, ACCIONA has provided innovative solutions to the wide range of drinking water treatment problems: It built the first facilities in Spain with chlorine pre-oxidation processes, and was a pioneer in the use of intermediate ozonation, between decantation and filters.

ACCIONA responds with water treatment solutions to make water safe or fit for consumption. It is designing water treatment infrastructure, to add to the facilities it has already built, to provide a safe access framework for more than 41 million people worldwide.

This is the aim is to make water a resource that humans can consume in a safe and sustainable way. An essential transformation for sustainable development that we guarantee through the design of drinking water treatment infrastructures and the exploration of new solutions to the challenges related to this vital resource.
