The Astepe WWTP receives the wastewater generated in more than 90% of the municipality Biscay, Spain See on Google Maps
Contract for the operation, conservation and maintenance of the Astepe and Dudea Wastewater Treatment Plants, as well as the Primary Sewage Network of the municipality of Amorebieta-Etxano in Bizkaia.

The contract also covers the operation and maintenance of the WWTP at Dudea, a small facility that provides service to the neighbourhood of the same name. Its geographical location makes it impossible to send its wastewater to the Astepe WWTP.

It is the second time in a row that ACCIONA has renewed the contract for the Amorebieta facility.

In addition to 9 kilometres of wastewater and rainwater piping, the primary network has four main pumping stations –Arriagane, Urritxe, Zubieta and Euba– that channel the wastewater toward a general pumping station in the Astepe industrial park, from where it is sent to the wastewater treatment plant.
