Twinned canals and tank building Madrid, Spain See on Google Maps
The feeder canal was twinned, from the intake at the reservoir to the DWTP, almost 2 kilometres in length. The project also included building a 100,000-m3 regulation tank for treated water and its connection to the second drinking water distribution ring.

This connection will make it possible to distribute the water treated in the upgraded DWTP to just about any location in the region. In this regard, the Second Ring (also known as the water equivalent of Madrid's M-50 ring road) will connect the plant to the DWTP in Colmenar Viejo.
