ACCIONA will increase its presence in the Philippines with the construction, operation and maintenance for 12 months of the Laguna Lake water treatment plant. It will serve an area that includes 6 million people with a capacity of 150,000 m3 per day each.
Laguna Lake DWTP will help to solve the problem of poor water quality in the area, applying an advanced treatment process of sludges and algae, among other features.
The project will be built in two phases, reaching a final treatment capacity of 150,000 m3 per day. The Laguna Lake Consortium will also undertake the operation and maintenance of the plant for 12 months.
Furthermore, as the site where the plant will be located is a floodable area, it will be necessary to do some filling and raising of the land level (5.5 meters).
The plot where the plant will be located is around two kilometers away from where ACCIONA carried out the Putatan II project.
