3GW

of potential capacity

One of Australia's largest wind farms

The Bellwether wind farm is a flagship renewable energy project for the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. The proposed wind farm would consist of approximately 400 turbines over a project area of 100,000 ha with dozens of landowners.

The project would provide drought-resistant incomes to farmers and support local towns with new business opportunities. Additionally, the project would be able to support local community members seeking to retrain or re-skill into the sector, and provide power to existing businesses seeking to decarbonise their operations. ACCIONA is currently engaging the broader community, and once project boundaries are defined, will consult closely with neighbours.
