ACCIONA began its activity in Hong Kong in 1993. During that year, it took part in the construction of the large bridge of Ting Kau, one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world, which it completed in 1998. Since then, it has carried out other major works, such as the stations of Kowloon and Kam Sheung Road, the Lai Chi Kok viaduct and various infrastructures for the KCRC railway line.
ACCIONA began operations in India in 2006 and today has four operational wind farms in the state of Karnataka, all 100% owned by the company. ACCIONA also carries out water treatment and supply projects in the country, with its base in New Delhi.
ACCIONA carried out the interior remodelling of the emblematic Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, completing the work of more than 174 floors in the two existing buildings.
After that successful project in the region, the company eventually decided to open a strategic office in Singapore in 2016, with the aim of seeking opportunities for business development in the region. The countries in which it focuses its efforts are mainly Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines.
The Philippines is a key country for ACCIONA's strategy in South-East Asia, predominantly in water treatment and transport infrastructure.
ACCIONA's activity in Vietnam began in 2019 with a major water treatment project that provides a new impetus to its presence in South-East Asia, considered a market of great potential in infrastructure projects.
