The Opportunity
The Senior ICT Operations Engineer will play a vital role in managing the efficient delivery of ICT systems and providing comprehensive support to our business operations. This position is essential in achieving operational excellence, managing financial aspects, and ensuring effective communication with various stakeholders.
You will oversee strategic planning, site mobilization, project management, ICT compliance, and the coordination of supplier and subcontractor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Planning: Collaborate with tendering departments to estimate and allocate costs for major project sites.
Network Design & Implementation: Design and implement local and wide area networks for new project sites.
Hardware & Software Maintenance: Configure and maintain site-based hardware including communication equipment, specialized software, and video conferencing systems.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Supplier & Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and supervise work delivered by outsourced providers, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Required Skills and Competencies
Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related field.
ITIL IT certification preferred.
Proficient in network architecture, WAN/LAN technologies, and network security.
Familiar with MS Office Suite, Office 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and server systems.
Experience with VoIP, firewall configuration, VMware, Hyper-V, AWS cloud, Citrix systems, and mobile device management.
Minimum of 5 years of ICT support experience in a complex, multi-site organization.
Proven experience in planning, budgeting, and project management within an ICT context.
Extensive knowledge of wide area networks and ICT service level management.
